|Reservation||Reservations are not final until they are confirmed. We endeavour to reply as quickly as possible.
Each reservation stands alone. Normally, separate stays cannot be combined to attract an extended stay discount.
Special arrangements are sometimes available for frequent guests. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
|Payment||Payment is by direct deposit. We will send you the account details.
Payment is due immediately on confirmation and must be received in full within two business days of the reservation being confirmed by us or before the first day of the stay, whichever is the earlier. If there is insufficient time for the transfer to arrive in our account before the first day of the stay, please discuss this with us in advance.
|Cancellation||We understand that circumstances can sometimes change.
There is no fee if you cancel up to one full week prior to arrival.
If you cancel less than a week before the day of arrival, the daily rate for the first night, including any extra charge for additional guests, is non-refundable. The cleaning fee is refundable.
You must provide us with bank details for a direct deposit of your refund. This is the only way refunds can be made.
The amount of the refund will be reduced by any bank, international transfer or other fees we are charged in providing you with the refund. In most cases there are no fees. However, some financial institutions trigger a fee from our bank such as for international transfers to certain countries.
length of stay
|If you extend your stay and the additional days attract a different seasonal rate, that rate will apply to the additional days. This may be more or less than the rate charged for the original reservation days.
If your reservation attracted a discounted rate for an extended stay and you reduce the number of days below the threshold for that discount, the daily rate will increase to the rate that normally applies for the altered duration of stay. This will result in an additional charge.
If you extend your stay so that it continues beyond the number of days that would have attracted a discounted rate for an extended stay, the discounted rate will apply.
|Check in and out||Check in is normally from 3 pm and check out is 10 am.
However, depending on other bookings, we can make other arrangements provided that you discuss this with us in advance. We are very flexible.
|Number of guests||Only the number of guests specified in the reservation can occupy the property during your stay.
Please let us know if there are special circumstances and you want to vary the number of guests for some or all of your stay. We need to know how many guests are staying even if it does not attract an extra charge.
|Parties and functions||Pretoria House is a residential apartment in a quiet, historic precinct. It is not a suitable venue for parties or functions, and they are not allowed.|
|Smoking||There is absolutely no smoking inside the apartment. You can smoke in the rear courtyard but please use the bin provided.|
|Pets||Much as we love them, we aren’t set up for animals so we are sorry but no pets are allowed.|
|Internet access||We appreciate your considered use of the WiFi internet access. Enjoy it for general use but please refrain from downloading or streaming large files.
If you have a large download that you need to make, please contact us to see what can be done.
You are specifically prohibited from using the provided internet access for any purpose that is contrary to Australian law.
|Care by guests||You are responsible for the property during your stay.
Please report any breakages or damage. We are not unreasonable about this but do expect our guests to take responsible care of the property and contents. We reserve the right to charge for the cost of repairing or replacing any damage or breakages.
Please leave the property in a clean and tidy state at the end of your stay. Please wash and store any cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, remove any food from the refrigerator and cupboards, and ensure that all rubbish is placed in the bins provided. Extra cleaning may attract an additional charge.
Leave dirty linen, towels, etc. in the bedrooms or bathroom.
|Security||During your stay, please ensure that the doors and windows are locked if you are away from the apartment.
At the end of your stay, please ensure that the apartment is secured and remember to return your keys as arranged. We do charge a replacement fee of $50 for lost keys.
There is a security gate with a keypad for easy access. Please keep the gate closed.
|Disabled access||There is single step access to Pretoria House.
Although it is on the ground floor, the apartment isn’t really suitable for a full size wheelchair. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
